How to discern if we are actually sensing realities in the spiritual realm?

Summary:

A human has a human spirit which has spiritual senses. With them, one is able to sense realities in the spiritual realm.

The spiritual senses of the human spirit are spiritual. They can also happen (in term of spiritual sight for example) in the location in the head where the imagination can also happen. The difference would be the source of what is seen: either from ourselves (imagining those things ourselves), or from the spiritual realm (sensing those things with our spiritual sight for example).

This can leave the question open: how can one discern if they are sensing spiritual realities in the spiritual realm instead of merely imagining them without sensing any?

There are principles which can help discerning that something was truly sensed in the spiritual realm. For example:

- Sensing things which are then found to be veridical in the physical realm.
- Sensing things which are then found to be veridical in terms of spiritual realities.
- Noticing correlations in the physical realm with what was perceived as sensed in the spiritual realm.
- Noticing the coherence of multiple spiritual senses functioning at the same time.
- Noticing the temporal coherence of events sensed over a period of time as pointing toward them evolving on their own terms in a coherent way.

These principles can also be combined.

You can find more details below:

Sensing things which are then found to be veridical in the physical realm:

One principle which can help discerning that something was truly sensed in the spiritual realm can be to be sensing things which are then found to be veridical in the physical realm.

For example: A human perceived that he sensed in the spiritual realm that he went inside the flat of someone who just moved to a new flat and sensed many details of how that flat was. Later, that one meets in the physical realm the person who moved to that new flat, and learns for the first time that what was sensed was accurately matching how the new flat actually was in the physical realm.

Sensing things which are then found to be veridical in terms of spiritual realities:

One principle which can help discerning that something was truly sensed in the spiritual realm can be to be sensing previously unknown information which is then found to be veridical in terms of spiritual realities.

For example: A human who never heard of Jesus perceives that he is taken in the spiritual realm and is told by a being that Jesus is Lord. Later, that person reads a Bible for the first time and discovers that it is written in it that "Jesus is Lord" (Romans 10:9), which he would have never heard before apart from what he perceived to have sensed in the spiritual realm. That previously unknown information would have later been found to be veridical in terms of what is spiritual true.

Noticing correlations in the physical realm:

One principle which can help discerning that something was truly sensed in the spiritual realm can be to be noticing correlations in the physical realm with what was perceived as sensed in the spiritual realm.

For example: A human perceived that he sensed in the spiritual realm that an angel told him that there will be a car crash happening in his street the next day at noon. The next day at noon, the person in the physical realm witness a car crash happening in his street at noon. The person may perceive a possible connection between the two events, noticing a possible correlation between what was announced to happen and what actually happened in the physical realm

Noticing the coherence of multiple spiritual senses:

A human has a human spirit which has multiple spiritual senses (for example: seeing, hearing, touching, etc).

For more information:
Spiritual senses of the human spirit:

One principle which can help discerning that something was truly sensed in the spiritual realm can be to be noticing the coherence of multiple spiritual senses functioning at the same time.

For example: A human perceived that he sensed in the spiritual realm that an angel came to him from his back (which is sensed with the spiritual sense of spatial orientation), and then the angel said something (which is sensed with the spiritual sense of hearing), and then the angel takes his hand (which is sensed by the spiritual sense of touching), while bringing him up in the air (which is sensed by the spiritual sense of movement) while looking at him (which is sensed by the spiritual sense of sight as the human would turn his spiritual sight toward the angel). Here multiple spiritual senses were coherent both in terms of what was perceived to happen in a sequence and at the same time

Noticing the temporal coherence of events:

One principle which can help discerning that something was truly sensed in the spiritual realm can be to be noticing the temporal coherence of events sensed over a period of time as pointing toward them evolving on their own terms in a coherent way.

For example: A human perceived that he sensed going every day in the spirit to the place of another human to see how the person was doing. That human may have expected to see more or less the same thing the next day, but then is surprised to see something different and unexpected. Then the next day, this happens again. But when reflecting about these expected sets of events, such a one may notice that there is a temporal coherence in the sets of events, where one event can explain the other that was unexpectedly perceived the next day.
