A human has their own (human) spirit inside of them, which is called in the Scriptures: "THE SPIRIT (OF) THE PERSON WITHIN HIM" (1 Corinthians 2:11).

A believer's own (human) spirit is distinct from the Holy Spirit of God, as for example it is written about the Holy Spirit of God in contrast WITH our (human) spirit that "THE SPIRIT itself bears-witness-WITH OUR SPIRIT that we-are children (of) God" (Romans 8:16).
