From fleshly temple to spiritual temple

From a temple made by human hands... to a spiritual temple not made by human hands.

From fleshly temple to spiritual temple:

Matthew 12:

Jesus said: "I-say (to) you that (A) GREATER (THING THAN) THE TEMPLE IS HERE" (Matthew 12:6).

Matthew 21:

Jesus said: "finally he-sent-forth HIS SON to them, saying, ‘They-will-have-regard-for my son’. But the land-workers, having-seen the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let-us-kill him and let-us-have his inheritance’. And having-taken him, THEY-THREW (HIM) OUTSIDE (of) the vineyard and killed (him)" (Matthew 21:37) and so "Jesus says (to) them, “Did-you never read in the Scriptures, ‘(THE) STONE WHICH THE (ONES) BUILDING REJECTED, this became (the) head (of the) CORNER" (Matthew 12:6).

Luke 21:

It is written about the temple made by human hands that was standing in Jerusalem in the 1st century: "(while) some (were) talking about THE TEMPLE, that it-has-been-adorned (with) beautiful stones and gifts-dedicated-to-God, He [Jesus] said, “(AS TO) THESE (THINGS) WHICH YOU-ARE-OBSERVING, days will-come during which (A) STONE ON (A) STONE WILL NOT BE-LEFT WHICH WILL NOT BE-TORN-DOWN”." (Luke 21:5-6).

Jesus announced here how this temple made by human hands that was standing in Jerusalem in the 1st century was to be destroyed.

John 2 & Mark 14:

Jesus was in "JERUSALEM. And in THE TEMPLE" (John 2:13-14) made by human hands that was standing in Jerusalem in the 1st century. There, Jesus spoke to Jews, and "said (to) them, “Destroy THIS TEMPLE, and in three days I-will-raise it”. Then the Jews said, “THIS TEMPLE WAS-BUILT (FOR) FORTY AND SIX YEARS, and You will-raise it in three days?” BUT that (One) [Jesus] was-speaking about THE TEMPLE (OF) HIS BODY" (John 2:19-21).

Later during the arrest of Jesus, the Jews were still confused about which temple Jesus had been talking about, as it is written: "some, having-stood-up, WERE-GIVING-FALSE-TESTIMONY against Him, saying that “We heard Him saying that ‘I will-tear-down THIS TEMPLE MADE-BY-(HUMAN)-HANDS, and in three days I-will-build ANOTHER NOT-MADE-BY(-HUMAN)-HANDS’”." (Mark 14:57-58). This was a false testimony because in the encounter in John 2:19-21, Jesus was not referring at any time to the "TEMPLE MADE-BY-(HUMAN)-HANDS" (Mark 14:58), but only to "THE TEMPLE (OF) HIS BODY" (John 2:21) which He would raise after three days.

Acts 4:

Peter said: "JESUS CHRIST the Nazarene, Whom you crucified, Whom God raised from (the) dead (ones), by this (One) this (one) stands before you healthy. THIS (ONE) IS THE STONE, the (One) having-been-treated-with-contempt by YOU, THE BUILDERS; the (One) having-become (the) head (of the) CORNER" (Acts 4:10-11).

Acts 17:

Paul preached: "GOD, the (One) having-made the world and all the (things) in it — this (One), being Lord (of) heaven and earth, DOES NOT DWELL IN TEMPLES MADE-BY(-HUMAN)-HANDS" (Acts 17:24).

Romans 15:

Paul wrote: "I (might) be (a) minister (of) Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, TEMPLE-WORKING THE GOOD-NEWS (OF) GOD the good-news (of) God in-order-that the offering (of) the Gentiles might-become acceptable, having-been-sanctified by (the) Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:16).

The Greek word for "TEMPLE-WORKING [hierourgeó 2418 in Greek]" (Romans 15:16) comes from a compound of "temple" [hieron 2411 in Greek, noun] and "work" [ergon 2041 in Greek, noun].

Paul mentioned here specifically "temple-working" (Romans 15:16) and "the offering" (Romans 15:16) of the Gentiles.

1 Corinthians 3:

Paul wrote: "YOU-ARE [...] GOD'S BUILDING. I-laid (a) FOUNDATION according-to the grace (of) God having-been-given (to) me as (a) wise MASTER-BUILDER, and another IS-BUILDING (upon it)" (1 Corinthians 3:9-10), "Do-you not know that YOU-ARE GOD'S TEMPLE and the Spirit (of) God is-dwelling in you? If anyone ruins the temple (of) God, God will-ruin this (one). For THE TEMPLE (OF) GOD IS HOLY, WHICH YOU ARE" (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

1 Corinthians 6:

Paul wrote: "do-you not know that YOUR BODY IS (THE) TEMPLE (OF) THE HOLY SPIRIT in you [...]?" (1 Corinthians 6:19).

2 Corinthians 6:

Paul wrote: "Do not be (ones) being-mis-yoked (to) unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14), for "what agreement (is there for THE) TEMPLE (OF) GOD with idols? For YOU ARE (THE) TEMPLE (OF THE) LIVING GOD" (2 Corinthians 6:16).

Ephesians 2:

Paul wrote: "YOU-are no-longer strangers and foreigners, but YOU-are fellow-citizens (with) the holy (ones) and family-members (of) God, HAVING-BEEN-BUILT upon the FOUNDATION (of) the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being (the) CORNERSTONE, in Whom (THE) WHOLE BUILDING BEING-FITTED-TOGETHER IS-GROWING INTO (A) HOLY TEMPLE IN (THE) LORD, in Whom also YOU ARE-BEING-BUILT-TOGETHER INTO (A) DWELLING-PLACE (OF) GOD IN (THE) SPIRIT" (Ephesians 2:19-22).

Paul mentioned here specifically "family-members (of) God" (Ephesians 2:19).

1 Peter 2:

Peter wrote: "YOU-YOURSELVES ALSO AS LIVING STONES ARE-BEING-BUILT (AS A) SPIRITUAL HOUSE for (a) holy priesthood, to-offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable (to) God through Jesus Christ. Because it-is-contained in Scripture: “Behold, I-am-laying (a) STONE in Zion, (a) chosen, precious CORNERSTONE. And the (one) putting-faith upon Him will never be-put-to-shame”." (1 Peter 2:5-6).

Peter mentioned here specifically "spiritual sacrifices" (1 Peter 2:5).
