1) From fleshly reputation to spiritual reputation:
Matthew 6:
Jesus said: "“But take-heed not to-do your righteousness in-front-of people SO-AS TO-BE-SEEN (BY) THEM. Otherwise indeed, you-do not have (a) reward with YOUR FATHER IN THE HEAVENS. “So whenever you-do almsgiving, do not trumpet (it) before you as-indeed the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the lanes SO-THAT THEY-MAY-BE-GLORIFIED BY PEOPLE. Truly I-say (to) you, they-are-receiving their reward in full." (Matthew 6:1-2).
Jesus added: "“And whenever you-pray, do not be like the hypocrites. Because standing in the synagogues and on the corners (of) the wide-roads, they-love to-pray SO-THAT THEY-MAY-MAKE-AN-APPEARANCE (TO) PEOPLE. Truly I-say (to) you, they-are-receiving their reward in full. But whenever you-pray, enter into your inner-room, and having-shut your door, pray (to) your Father, the (One) in secret. And YOUR FATHER, THE (ONE) SEEING IN SECRET, will-reward you." (Matthew 6:5-6).
Mark 6:
It is written about Jesus that after teaching people were saying: "IS THIS (ONE) NOT THE CARPENTER, THE SON (OF) MARY, AND BROTHER (OF) JAMES AND JOSES AND JUDE AND SIMON? AND ARE NOT HIS SISTERS HERE WITH US?” And they-were-taking-offense at Him. And Jesus was-saying (to) them that “(A) PROPHET is not without-honor except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his house”." (Mark 6:3-4).
Luke 6:
Jesus said: "WOE, WHEN ALL PEOPLE SPEAK WELL (OF) YOU. For their fathers were-doing (it) in the same (way to) the false-prophets." (Luke 6:26).
Luke 16:
It is written about Jesus that: "He-said (to) them, “You are the (ones) DECLARING YOURSELVES RIGHTEOUS IN-THE-SIGHT-OF PEOPLE, BUT GOD KNOWS YOUR HEARTS, because THE HIGHLY (VALUED THING) AMONG PEOPLE (IS AN) ABOMINATION IN-THE-SIGHT-OF GOD." (Luke 16:15).
John 1:
It is written: "Philip finds Nathanael and says (to) him, “We-have-found (THE ONE OF) WHOM MOSES WROTE IN THE LAW, AND THE PROPHETS, Jesus, son (of) Joseph, from Nazareth”. And Nathanael said (to) him, “IS ANYTHING GOOD ABLE TO-BE OUT-OF NAZARETH?” Philip says (to) him, “Come and see”." (John 1:45-46).
John 5:
Jesus said: "“I-do not RECEIVE GLORY FROM PEOPLE, but I-know you, that you-do not have the love (of) God in yourselves. I HAVE-COME IN THE NAME (OF) MY FATHER, and you-are not receiving Me. IF ANOTHER COMES IN (HIS) OWN NAME, YOU-WILL-RECEIVE THAT (ONE). How are you able to-believe (while) RECEIVING GLORY FROM ONE-ANOTHER, and you-are not SEEKING THE GLORY FROM THE ONLY GOD?" (John 5:41-44).
1 Corinthians 1:
Paul wrote: "GOD CHOSE THE LOW-BORN (THINGS OF) THE WORLD, and THE (THINGS) HAVING-BEEN-TREATED-WITH-CONTEMPT, the (things) not being, in-order-that He-might-render-not-working the (things) being"
2 Corinthians 6:
Paul wrote of being "AS NOT-BEING-KNOWN [by humans] and (yet) BEING-FULLY-KNOWN [by God]" (2 Corinthians 6:9).
Galatians 2:
Paul wrote: "And from the (ONES) HAVING-THE-REPUTATION-OF BEING SOMETHING, of-what-sort they ever were MAKES NO DIFFERENCE (TO) ME; GOD SHOWS NO FAVORITISM BETWEEN HUMANS, indeed (to) me the (ones) having-the-reputation communicated nothing." (Galatians 2:6).
Galatians 6:
Peter wrote: "ALL WHO WANT TO-MAKE-A-GOOD-SHOWING IN (THE) FLESH, these (ones) are-compelling you to-receive-circumcision only in-order-that they-may not be-persecuted (for) the cross (of) Christ. For not-even the (ones) receiving-circumcision themselves are-keeping (the) Law. But they-want you to-receive-circumcision in-order-that THEY-MIGHT-BOAST IN YOUR FLESH." (Galatians 6:12-13).
Philippians 3:
Paul wrote: "If any other (person) thinks (that HE MAY) PUT-CONFIDENCE IN (THE) FLESH, I more, (IN) CIRCUMCISION (THE) EIGHTH-DAY; FROM (THE) NATION (OF) ISRAEL, (THE) TRIBE (OF) BENJAMIN, (A) HEBREW FROM HEBREWS; IN-RELATION-TO (THE) LAW, (A) PHARISEE; IN-RELATION-TO ZEAL, PERSECUTING THE CHURCH; IN-RELATION-TO (THE) RIGHTEOUSNESS IN (THE) LAW, HAVING-BEEN FAULTLESS. But what (things) were gains (to) me, THESE I-HAVE-REGARDED (TO BE A) LOSS FOR-THE-SAKE-OF CHRIST. But more than that, I-am indeed regarding all (things) to-be (a) loss for-the-sake-of the surpassing (greatness of) the knowledge (of) Christ Jesus my Lord, for-the-sake-of Whom I-suffered-loss-of all (things) and AM-REGARDING (THEM AS) GARBAGE in-order-that I-may-gain Christ" (Philippians 3:4-8).
1 Peter 4:
Peter wrote: "For the time having-passed (is) enough (for you) to-have-worked-out the will (of) the Gentiles, having-walked in sensualities, lusts, wine-drinking, revelries, drinking(-parties) and unlawful idolatries, in (connection with) which THEY-ARE-THINKING(-IT)-STRANGE (THAT) YOU (ARE) NOT RUNNING-WITH (THEM) INTO THE SAME EXCESS (OF) WILD-LIVING, (while they continue) blaspheming" (1 Peter 4:3-4).
1 John 3:
It is written: "See what-kind-of love the Father has-given (to) us: that WE-SHOULD-BE-CALLED CHILDREN (OF) GOD, and we-are! Because-of this THE WORLD DOES NOT KNOW US, because it-did not know Him." (1 John 3:1).
Revelation 3:
It is written: "“And (to) the messenger (of) the church in Sardis, write, These (things) says the (One) having the seven Spirits (of) God and the seven stars. I-know your works: that YOU-HAVE (A) NAME THAT YOU-ARE-ALIVE, AND YOU-ARE DEAD." (Revelation 3:1).
2) Spiritual reputation in the spiritual realm with God:
Matthew 3:
It is written that when Jesus was baptized "And behold, (A) VOICE OUT-OF THE HEAVENS SAYING, “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON IN WHOM I-WAS-WELL-PLEASED”." (Matthew 3:17).
Matthew 17:
It is written that when Jesus was on a high mountain with some of His disciples that "behold, (a) bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold, (A) VOICE OUT-OF THE CLOUD SAYING “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, WITH WHOM I-WAS-WELL-PLEASED. BE-LISTENING-TO HIM”." (Matthew 17:5).
Acts 10:
It is written that Cornelius "saw in (a) vision clearly, as-if (it were) around (the) ninth hour (of) the day, (a) messenger (of) God having-come-in to him, and having-said (to) him, “Cornelius!” And the (one), having-looked-intently (at) him, and having-become terrified, said, “What is-it, sir?” And he-said (to) him, “YOUR PRAYERS AND YOUR ACTS-OF-ALMSGIVING WENT-UP FOR (A) MEMORIAL BEFORE GOD." (Acts 10:3-4).
1 Corinthians 8:
Paul wrote: "But if one loves God, THIS (ONE) HAS-BEEN-KNOWN BY HIM." (1 Corinthians 8:3).
3) Spiritual reputation in the spiritual realm with demons:
Mark 3:
It is written about Jesus that "THE UNCLEAN SPIRITS, whenever they-were-seeing Him, WERE-FALLING-BEFORE HIM and crying-out, saying that “YOU ARE THE SON (OF) GOD”." (Mark 3:11).
Mark 5:
It is written about Jesus that "He having-gone-out of the boat, immediately (a) man with (AN) UNCLEAN SPIRIT met Him, out-of the tombs" (Mark 5:2) "And he-having-cried-out (with a) loud voice, (he) says “WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO WITH YOU, JESUS, SON (OF) THE HIGHEST GOD? I-make You swear (by) God, do not torment me”. For He-was-saying (to) it, “Come-out of the man, unclean spirit”." (Mark 5:7-8).
Acts 19:
It is written: "even some (of) the Jewish exorcists going-around attempted to-name the name (of) the Lord Jesus over the (ones) having the evil spirits, saying, “I-adjure you (by) the Jesus Whom Paul is-proclaiming”.Now there-were seven sons (of a) certain Sceva, (a) Jewish chief-priest, doing this. But having-responded, THE EVIL SPIRIT said (to) them, “I-KNOW JESUS AND KNOW-ABOUT PAUL, BUT WHO ARE-YOU?” And the man in whom was the evil spirit, having-leaped on them, having-subdued both (of them), prevailed against them, so that (they) fled out-of that house naked and having-been-wounded." (Acts 19:13-16).
4) Shine before people so they may see your good works, but not so as to be seen:
In the Bible, people are explicitly instructed to SHINE BEFORE PEOPLE SO THEY MAY SEE THE GOOD WORKS, while refraining from doing it SO AS TO BE SEEN.
Jesus said: "let your light SHINE BEFORE PEOPLE SO-THAT THEY-MAY-SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS and glorify your Father in the heavens." (Matthew 5:16), while adding: "“But take-heed not to-do your righteousness in-front-of people SO-AS TO-BE-SEEN (BY) THEM" (Matthew 6:1).
Paul wrote "(to be) PROVIDING-FOR GOOD (THINGS) IN-THE-SIGHT-OF ALL PEOPLE" (Romans 12:17).
Paul wrote: "LET YOUR KINDNESS BE-KNOWN (TO) ALL PEOPLE." (Philippians 4:5).
Peter wrote of "HOLDING YOUR CONDUCT GOOD AMONG THE GENTILES IN-ORDER-THAT in what they-are-speaking-against you as evil-doers, THEY-MAY BY OBSERVING (YOUR) GOOD WORKS glorify God on (the) day (of) visitation." (1 Peter 2:12).
5) Integrity among believers:
In the Bible, integrity among believers is expected.
It is written: "And he-came also to Derbe and to Lystra. And behold, (a) certain disciple was there, Timothy (by) name, (the) son (of a) believing Jewish woman, but (of a) Greek father, WHO WAS-BEING-ATTESTED BY THE BROTHERS IN LYSTRA AND ICONIUM." (Acts 16:1-2).
Paul wrote: "in nothing giving any opportunity-for-stumbling, IN-ORDER-THAT THE MINISTRY MAY NOT BE-FAULTED" (2 Corinthians 6:3).
Paul wrote to Timothy: "Let no-one be-looking-down-on your youth, but BE (A) PATTERN (FOR) THE BELIEVERS in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12).
6) Being blameless before a watchful world:
In the Bible, being blameless before a watchful world can be expected, especially from Christian leaders.
Paul wrote about "the overseer" (1 Timothy 3:2) that "(HE) MUST ALSO HAVE (A) GOOD TESTIMONY FROM THE (ONES) OUTSIDE, in-order-that he-may not fall into reproach and (a) snare (of) the devil." (1 Timothy 3:7).
Paul wrote to Titus: "in (your) teaching (showing) integrity, dignity, incorruptibility, healthy uncondemnable speech, IN-ORDER-THAT THE (ONE) FROM (THE) CONTRARY (SIDE) may-be-ashamed, HAVING NOTHING BAD TO-SAY ABOUT US." (Titus 2:7-8).
